Djarot Complained Trash Smell in Kedoya Market

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat held blusukan (impromptu visit) to Pasar Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Tuesday (1/27). His arrival was immediately utilized by the traders and visitors to deliver their aspiration related of market condition in the capital.

Why the smell is so bad here, how long the trash is neglected?

Some of aspiration that delivered by the traders are the deserted buyers condition and the sting smell of the garbage at Kedoya Market. Moreover, Djarot also recognized the same smell after he arrived at the market.

"Why the smell is so bad here, how long the trash is neglected?," said Djarot.

City Provides 15,000 Kiosks for Street Vendors

Responding Djarot's question, Head of Kedoya Urban Village, Ahmad Latif admitted the trash is usually picked up every day, moreover Latif claimed the trash transporting was ongoing at that moment. However, Djarot did not immediately believe the statement.

"This is impossible if the trash is transported daily. The smell won't like this," Djarot uttered.

To strengthen his thought, Djarot immediately summoned Head of Kedoya Market, Dede Tabrizi. It is known from Tabrizi explanation, the trash at the market has been left for a week.

"We often asking for trash transporting, but they said no trucks," Dede admitted.
